A new blogpost online. I wrote about the Marmolada, the highest mountain and glacier in the Dolomites. It's not only impressive by its height and the amazing views from the top, but also because of all the WWI remains. During 1915-1917 a bloody war took place in these mountains between the Italian Alpini and the Austrian Kaiserjäger. At the Marmolada (and other peeks in the Dolomites) you'll still see the trenches and old fortresses. There is also a small but interesting museum at the Marmolada. Enjoyed a super fun bachelor party yesterday with my 'bucket ladies' friends! Yesterday morning I was picked up at 8.30 with 'destination unknown'.First we took a nice walk to a moor near Austerlitz (where I once lived for a few years). I just posted a new blog article about the Salinas Grandes saltflats in Argentina. And how much I want to go back to that amazing part of South America! The Salinas Grandes aren't as big as Bolivia's Salar de Uyini, but they are still very impressive. We drove with our rental car over the salt flats which was a bizarre experience!
